1. This psalm was written by David's own hand and outside the enumeration, when he fought alone with Goliath. Small was I among my brothers and the youngest in the house of my father, and I pastured my father's sheep.	1. Questo salmo appartiene a Davide, di suo pugno, ed è fuori dal numero; quando combatté da solo contro Golia. Ero piccolo tra i miei fratelli e il più giovane nella casa di mio padre; pascolavo le pecore di mio padre.
2. My hands made a musical instrument; my fingers fashioned a harp.	2. Le mie mani hanno fatto un flauto e le mie dita hanno accordato un'arpa.
3. And who will tell it to my Lord? The Lord himself, he hears me [Sinaiticus: everything].	3. E chi lo annuncerà al mio Signore? Lui, il Signore, lui stesso ascolta.
4.He himself sent his messengers/angels. And he took me away from my father's sheep. And he anointed me with his anointing oil.	4. Lui ha mandato il suo angelo e mi ha preso di tra le pecore di mio padre, e mi ha unto con l'olio della sua unzione.
5. My brothers, they were handsome and tall, and yet the Lord took no delight in them.	5. I miei fratelli erano belli e grandi ma non si è compiaciuto di loro il Signore.
6. I went out to meet those from the foreign tribes, and he cursed me by his idols.	6. Sono uscito incontro allo straniero, e mi ha maledetto con i suoi idoli.
7. But I, when he had drawn his sword, beheaded him and took away the disgrace of the son of Israel.	7. Ma io, strappatagli la spada, l'ho decapitato e ho tolto l'obbrobrio dai figli d'Israele.
